This is Me: Soulful Portraits in Black & White

Description: For the “This is Me: Soulful Portraits in Black & White” session, you bring clothes that you already own and love to wear: 1) something dark (like black or it can be dark blue; can be long-sleeved); pants darker, if possible, like jeans, sweats or a dress; 2) something light (doesn’t have to be white but light-colored shirt or dress of any length); pants any color; 3) something that shows some skin (these are not sexy photos but the intent is to show some vulnerability); could be a tank top, cami, swim-cover up, bathing suit, or could be button-down shirt with a few buttons unbuttoned. I don’t do fine art nudes; not in my wheelhouse and I can’t show them on website or social media because it doesn’t resonate with my ideal client.

Session Duration: 45 min — the session is 45 minutes of photographing time but plan on being here an hour so we have time for wardrobe changes, etc.

Style: I don’t do any retouching for this black & white session; I’m only using Photoshop for exposure adjustments and cropping the photo. I am embracing AI where it makes sense for my industry, but I am pushing against it a bit where I’m seeing that people might get body dysmorphia thinking that AI or Photoshop has to “fix” what’s “wrong” with them. I want people to see the beauty that I see when I look through my lens!

Extras: One 11”by14” OR 12”by12” metal or canvas print; pre-session wardrobe consultation; full-service session; inclusion into my 2026 “This is Me” Gala Party where Favorite images will be displayed. Additional high-resolution images are available for purchase in the following allotments (25 images for $625; for 50 images for $999; 100 images for $1499; all images for $1999). Albums and additional wall art starts at $449. Hair and makeup can be provided on-site or at my preferred salon — this is an additional $149 and up, depending on services needed.
