Ginger Lemon Tea For Your Spring Glow

A small ritual to welcome the season of renewal

Spring is a season of awakening. The sunlight stretches a little longer into the evening, birds are singing, and suddenly we feel that quiet pull toward something fresh. A fresh start with renewed energy.

For me, spring always begins with simple rituals that help me ease into the season. One of my favorites is something you might already have in your kitchen: ginger lemon tea. Yes, my name sounds remarkably like this tea flavor, and it continues to be one of my favorite tea flavors! Topping it off is drinking in this beautiful orange mug made by one of my favorite Michigan Artists/Artisans, Aslakson Pottery! You can check out their amazing products by visiting AslaksonPottery.com.

It is warm, refreshing, and just bright enough to feel like a little reset for the body and mind. And if you are anything like me, those small resets can make a surprisingly big difference in my energy levels.

Why Ginger and Lemon?

Ginger and lemon have long been known for their refreshing and cleansing qualities. Ginger brings zestiness and supports digestion, while lemon adds brightness and vitamin C (or maybe see?). Together, they create a tea that feels soothing and energizing at the same time.

If you have ever looked into wellness trends, you may have noticed that ginger lemon tea has been gaining popularity again as a gentle way to support hydration and digestion, something many nutrition experts discuss as part of seasonal resets. Health sources like Healthline highlight how these ingredients have been used for centuries in natural wellness routines.

Spring is the season when many of us start paying closer attention to new beginnings and chapters in our lives.  We spend more time outside, move a little more, and look for ways to shake off the heaviness that winter sometimes brings with it.

This tea is one of those simple ways to do just that.

My Go-To Ginger Lemon Tea

You do not need anything fancy to make it. In fact, the beauty of this tea is how simple it is.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 slice fresh lemon
  • A few mint leaves (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

How to prepare

Bring water to a gentle boil and pour it into your favorite mug. Add the ginger and let it steep for about five minutes. Then add your lemon slice and honey if you prefer a little sweetness.

The result is warm, soothing, and surprisingly refreshing.

A Small Moment for Yourself

A warm mug in your hands can slow things down just enough to breathe and reset, especially if it’s an artisan mug from https://aslaksonpottery.com/.

Sometimes I make this tea in the early morning while the house is quiet. Other times it happens in the afternoon while I am editing photos or planning upcoming sessions. Either way, it becomes a small reminder that taking care of yourself does not need to be complicated.

Often, it is the simplest rituals that bring the most balance.

One of the reasons I love this tea so much is that it creates a moment to pause. Life moves quickly, and it can be easy to rush from one task to the next without checking in with ourselves. One of my packages, Walking Meeting with Ginger, on my website includes a perfect time to pause and talk about life with me (it’s not counseling, consider it friend-lending). Hmm… maybe we can walk and talk with our teas! Walking with Ginger…literally!

Spring Is the Season of Glow

Spring naturally brings a glow back to people. The light is softer. Most people enjoy seeing the grass get greener and the spring flowers begin to bloom. And people start showing up with a little more energy and confidence.

As a photographer, I see that shift every spring.

Spring sessions always feel a little lighter and more joyful. People are ready to step outside again, celebrate new chapters, and capture moments that feel full of life.

Ready to Capture Your Spring Glow?

If this season has you feeling refreshed, inspired, or simply ready to show up in a new way, it might be the perfect time to update your photos!

Whether you are celebrating a milestone, refreshing your professional images, or simply documenting the season you are in, spring is a beautiful time to capture that energy.

If you are ready to book a photo session, I would love to work with you. Visit my contact page (GingerLiemohn.com/Contact ) to book your session and create images that reflect the warmth, confidence, and joy you are stepping into this season.

Because sometimes the best glow comes from slowing down, taking a deep breath, and letting yourself be seen.
